情绪描写技巧 在写作中，对人物情感的描写常常能使人物的形象显得生动鲜活。人的情感可以分很多 种，如喜悦、满意、失望、悲伤、憎恨、愤怒、惊讶、恐惧、赞赏等等。在英语中有很多不 同的词和句式来表达这些不同的情感。 一、情绪描写之喜乐 喜乐的情绪通常和动作“笑”结合，这样写出来的句式更灵动活泼。常见的表达方式有： smile brightly; laugh; beam; light (sth) up; light up with; burst into laughter; burst out laughing ；wear a bright/broad smile; give sb a smile。 学一学： beam: smile very happily light up: if someone's face or eyes light up, they show pleasure, excitement etc. light up with：His eyes lit up with laughter. Her face lit up with pleasure. light sth up: to make someone's face or eyes show pleasure or excitement. Suddenly a bright smile lit up her face/eyes. 例如：他的父母满意地笑了。 译法一：His parents beamed/smiled with satisfaction. 译法二：His parents wore a satisfied smile on his face. 练一练： 1. 看到直升飞机，Jane 高兴地笑了起来。 【答案一】 At the sight of the helicopter, Jane beamed with wild joy. 【答案二】 Seeing the helicopter, Jane beamed with wild joy. 【答案三】 The moment she caught sight of the helicopter, Jane's eyes/ face lit up with delight. 【答案四】 The moment she caught sight of the helicopter, a bright smile lit up Jane's face/eyes. 2. 当妈妈亲吻他时，小 baby 开心极了。 【答案一】When his mother kissed him on the cheek, the baby was full of joy. 【答案二】 When his mother kissed him on the cheek, it seemed as if the baby were on top of the world. (眉开眼笑；笑容照亮房间) 二、情绪描写之激动 动词：whistle（吹口哨）/dance/ jump/leap with joy; feel a surge（激增）of happiness/delight/joy/excitement; (one's eyes) twinkle （ 闪 闪 发 光 ） ; (one's heart) beat/pound wildly （ 心 跳 加 速 ） ; can hardly conceal one's excited(几乎无法掩饰兴奋的心情) 形容词： delighted; overjoyed; excited; thrilled; be wild with joy（欣喜若狂） 句子：A wild gaiety（快乐）took hold of her. 一种疯狂的快乐控制了她。 I was pleased beyond description. 我高兴得难以形容。 Her flushed face was shining with excitement.(flush v.发红） 她激动得满脸通红。 练一练： 当主持人宣布她获奖时，她兴奋极了。 【答案一】When the host announced that she won the prize, she felt excited/ thrilled. 【答案二】When the host announced that she won the prize, her eyes twinkled with excitement. 【答案三】When the host announced that she won the prize, her heart was pounding with wild joy. 【答案四】When the host announced that she won the prize, a wild excitement took hold of her. 【答案五】Knowing she won the prize, she felt a surge of excitement. 【答案六】Knowing she won the prize, she was overcome with excitement. 三、情绪描写之生气 feel/get angry/furious;seized by anger; feel a surge of anger(rage/fury); eyes blaze; storm out of/into/off （气冲冲 地…）; storm(怒吼); 句子： ① I was seized by anger. 我被愤怒覆盖。 ② He was fuming with rage. 他大发雷霆。 ③ His anger boiled over. 他的愤怒情绪突然爆发起来了。 ④ He could hardly/scarcely contain his rage. 他几乎控制不住自己的愤怒。 ⑤ He was breathing fire and fury. 他怒火冲天。 ⑥ His voice trembled with anger. 他的声音因愤怒而颤抖。 ⑦ He gave me a look of burning anger. 他看了我一眼，怒不可遏。 练一练： Sam 感到非常生气。 【答案一】：Sam felt very angry. 【答案二】：Sam stood rooted to the spot, his eyes blazing with anger. 【答案三】：Sam felt so angry that he stormed out of the room, slamming the door furiously behind him. 【答案四】：Boiling with rage, Sam shook his fist at me. 【答案五】：Filled with fury, Sam was unable to utter a single word. 四、情绪描写之伤心痛苦 sad; bitter; sorrowful; feel a surge of sadness; (sadness) surge within sb; one's heart ache; be overcome with sadness 句子： ①　He stood silently, tears rolling down his cheeks. 他静静地站着，眼泪顺着脸颊滚了下来 ②　I feel like I am floating in an ocean of sadness. 我觉得我在悲伤的海洋中漂浮。 ③　Her hands were shaking.
